Major US Pipeline Targeted In Cyber Attack

The largest fuel pipeline system in the United States was forced to shut down its entire network after a cyber attack, the company said in a statement.
Colonial Pipeline ships gasoline and jet fuel from the Gulf Coast of Texas to the populous East Coast through 5,500 miles (8,850 kilometers) of pipeline, serving 50 million consumers.
In a statement the company said that on Friday it was the victim of a cybersecurity attack and that in response it took its systems offline.
This temporarily halted all pipeline operations, and affected some of our IT systems, the company said.

A six-week detour caused by major roadworks on two state highways is expected to cause further delays, but residents say the disruptions are inconvenient but necessary. Construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of State Highways 5 and 36 in Ngongotahā began in September last year and has caused congestion on the way in and out of Rotorua.
Commuters told Rotorua Daily Post in March getting to school and work in the mornings was like playing a game of Russian roulette.

Commenting on the federal governmentâs Anti-Rape (Investigation and Trial) Ordinance 2020 and the Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance 2020, the Womenâs Action Forum (WAF) and the Women Lawyersâ Association (WLA) have expressed their opposition to legislation via ordinances, and highlighted how the two ordinances contain several overlaps with amendments already enacted in 2016 by the parliament, and other existing laws.
In a detailed position paper released on Wednesday, the leading women s rights bodies said the two ordinances severely undermined democracy, the legislatures (federal and provincial), and provincial autonomy/18th Constitutional Amendment.
In the position papers, WAF and WLA highlighted 18 major flaws within the ordinances. âThey include the ambiguous language and unclear conceptual framing of the ordinances; the content overlap between the ordinances and already existing laws, and duplication of existing laws in the ordinance
